One of the main components in health and fitness is nutrition. Too often we neglect some of the easiest parts of leading a healthy lifestyle. The old adage "you are what you eat" is very accurate when it comes to health and fitness and, whether you are a performance athlete or a fitness newcomer, large leaps in your health can be made by simply maintaining a correct diet.
LifeWise Fitness looks at the nutrition status in the life-cycle, including infancy, childhood, adulthood, pregnancy and old age, in relation to the health status and activity level of our members. The 24-Hour Recall and a food intake questionnaire format will be used for initial assessments of nutritional status.
Goals
1. To assess the nutritional status.
2. To design a plan of action in order to correct the presence of malnutrition, be it over- or under-nutrition.
3. To develop and maintain healthy food intake habits for clients and their families as they pursue a healthier life with LifeWise Fitness.
